Irrigation of Reef Resort
1. The water wastage is similar to council's new irrigation system in Macrossan Street.
2. Of the 600 or so sprinkler nozzles in the resort there can be some improvement by doing some fine tuning. At present some nozzles are broken, some are too big and some cannot be adjusted. Nozzles can be bought for $1.97 each plus postage.
3. I have started fine tuning a small area from Villa 94 to Villa 103. This has involved so far the replacement of a stopcock outside Villa 94 and the purchase of 10 adjustable arc nozzles ranging from 4 feet to 12 feet for $29.20.

Douglas Shire Ratepayers Association
This association is being formed by some well known locals because they are unhappy with council. The idea for it originated from unit owner who like most unit owners cannot vote at council elections. Next meeting is 4 Dec 19.

Main Entrance - Port Douglas Road
14 Nov 19. John Morris rang today to let me know he will replace our four old signs with new ones.
They have been ordered from Qld Dept of Transport.

St Crispin's Weir
The valves that were restricting tidal movement were removed on Mon 25 Nov 19. The raised portion of the weir that was built in 2019 may be removed at a future date.

News
1. Uplift Watersports, Parasailing & Jet Skiing closed on Friday 1 November 2019. From memory Uplift Watersports started in 2015.
2. The Mossman Golf Club is part of the Port Douglas and District Combined Clubs and is running at a loss.
3. The Douglas Shire is on Level 2 Water Restrictions from 14 Nov 19.
4. Dave's Takeaway sold to another Dave, David Dowell.
5. The extension to the shared path from the Country Club to Port Street is completed. It is a Queensland Government's Works for Queensland program. The "Team Leader Maintenance Civil" from council informs me that our section will be done during the next financial year. The 3 1/2 metre path will not cross the railway line at the entrance but will cross to the north of the entrance.
6. The luxury apartments by the Chiodo Corp at 33 Davidson Street got back on track almost immediately. This will have a bearing on the development next to Oaks - See the October report.
7. Gym, Lap Pool & Tennis Court at Oaks will close on 30 November 2019.

9. The Douglas Shire is on Level 3 Water Restrictions from 21 Nov 19.

Possible items for the next committee meeting include:
1. Repair of water supply to irrigation stopcock outside Villa 94. This will mean a shut down of water at the main supply to the resort for a short period whilst repairs are carried out.
